Ram Vilas Paswan had a heart medical procedure only days prior in Delhi.

New Delhi: Union priest and Lok Janshakti Party originator Ram Vilas Paswan, who as of late went through a heart medical procedure, passed on today at a Delhi emergency clinic where he was recovering. The 74- year-old was going through treatment at the emergency clinic, and needed to go through medical procedure “due to the situation that had suddenly emerged,” his child Chirag Paswan had tweeted on Saturday.

Tonight, the 37- year-old posted the updates on his death.

“Papa… Now you are not in this world but I know you are always with me wherever you are. Miss you Papa,” read his post, where he imparted a legacy photo to his father.

Twitter was overwhelmed with accolades for the left chief. Among the first to tweet was President Ram Nath Kovind, Congress’ Rahul Gandhi and BJP pioneer Ravi Shankar Prasad.

Leader Narendra Modi likewise tweeted his sympathies. “I am saddened beyond words. There is a void in our nation that will perhaps never be filled. Shri Ram Vilas Paswan Ji’s demise is a personal loss. I have lost a friend, valued colleague and someone who was extremely passionate to ensure every poor person leads a life of dignity,” his post read.

Known as one of the incredible survivors in Indian legislative issues, Ram Vilas Paswan has been a priest in practically all the administrations shaped at the Center since 1989.
