Karnataka court directs police to register FIR against Kangana Ranaut for her

A court in Tumakuru area of Karnataka on Friday guided the police to enlist a FIR against actress Kangana Ranaut on her ongoing tweet purportedly focusing on ranchers fighting the homestead laws. In view of a grumbling by an attorney L Ramesh Naik, the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) court coordinated the overseer of Kyathasandra police headquarters to enroll a FIR against the actress.

The court said the complainant had documented an application under area 156(3) of the CrPC for examination.

“The office is hereby directed to issue intimation to the circle police inspector of Kyathasandra police station along with (a) photostat copy of the complaint for report,” it included.

Naik, who hails from Kyathasandra, told that regarding his criminal argument against the actress, the court had guided the jurisdictional police headquarters to enroll a FIR and ask.

The actress had tweeted on September 21 from her Twitter handle @KanganaTeam: “Individuals who spread deception and gossipy tidbits about CAA that caused riots are similar individuals who are currently spreading falsehood about Farmers bill and causing dread in the country, they are psychological oppressors.

You comprehend what I said however just prefer to spread deception.”

Naik said this tweet had harmed him and provoked him to record an argument against Ranaut.
