Govt warns public against 'mischievous' activities of MSME Export Promotion Council

NEW DELHI: The MSME service on Saturday cautioned the public not to fall prey to “unauthorised” and “ill-intentioned” exercises of MSME Export Promotion Council and explained that it isn’t related with the association in any capacity.

The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) gave an explanation in such manner cautioning the general population in the wake of taking solid note “of mischievous activities of this organisation projecting itself as part of the MSME ministry”.

The service said it is seen that specific messages are being coursed in media and web-based media with respect to issuance of arrangement letter to the post of ‘chief’ by the MSME Export Promotion Council. It is additionally observed that this association is utilizing the name of the Ministry of MSME.

“It is hereby clarified that Ministry of MSME, Government of India, is not associated with the MSME Export Promotion Council in any way. Also, the Ministry of MSME has not authorised any posting or appointment to any post related with this council. The public is informed and advised not to fall prey to such messages or such elements,” an official explanation said.

Notwithstanding, the MSME Export Council on its site has explained that it is a privately owned business shaped for altruistic reason. “MSME Export Promotion Council is a private company and not any department of the Government of India,” it said.
