And yet again, rumours sparked about Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal’s impending marriage. Not surprisingly, this time too it proved to be a hoax. As per reports, Varun’s all set to tie the knot with long-time girlfriend Natasha this month at a five star hotel in Alibaug. It was also mentioned that the family is hosting a big fat Punjabi wedding in the presence of limited guests at the sun and sand destination.
When Bombay Times reached out to the actor’s father David Dhawan, he didn’t answer the call, but Varun’s uncle and actor Anil Dhawan rubbished the piece of information saying, “WOW, I am surprised. They are marrying this month, and we didn’t know? Are they going to invite us last moment? Itna secret rakh rahe hai kya (laughs!)?”
He further went on to add, “These stories have been floating since a long time. Last year there was a buzz that the two were getting married in May. Whatever it is, as a family we have been persuading him to get married soon. I feel this is one ritual you got to do it in time. There is no point prolonging it. Do it in time or just don’t do it!”
Anil who was last seen in Coolie No. 1 starring Varun says that while he and the actor’s father convince him, he listens to them ardently. “He’s a very disciplined child. We give our advice and respects it,” he says. All praises for Varun, ask Anil to share a few words on Natasha and he says, “She has a knack for keeping a family happy together. She is a very sweet girl.”
Between all these speculations, ask the Andhadhun (2018) actor to confirm when exactly is his nephew getting married and he news24nations off saying, “We have been telling him to skip plans of hosting grand celebrations, instead do a simple intimate ceremony aur bas ladki ko jaldi ghar le aao (smiles).”
Meanwhile, in a recent interview to Filmfare, talking about his marriage plans with girlfriend Natasha Dalal, Varun Dhawan revealed that, “If things settle down (COVID and its impact), then maybe this year. I mean… I am planning for it definitely soon. But let there be more certainty.”
