Akshay Kumar has informed fans that he had tested positive for Covid-19 on Sunday morning and now the actor has revealed that he has been admitted to a hospital as a ‘precautionary measure’. ETimes had earlier reported that Akshay was admitted to a hospital in Powai around 5pm on Sunday evening. Confirming the same in a social media post the actor shared, “Thank you everyone for all your warm wishes and prayers, they seem to be working. I am doing fine , but as a precautionary measure under medical advice, I have been hospitalised. I hope to be back soon.”
In the past few days, Akshay Kumar has been busy shooting for ‘Ram Setu’ with Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharrucha. Previously, Akshay had revealed that he was following all the protocols and had immediately isolated himself. “I’m under home quarantine and have sought necessary medical care. Back in action very soon!” Akshay had promised his fans.
The team will also be undergoing a Covid-19 test. On Sunday evening, FWICE (Federatioon of Western India Cine Employees) General Secretary Ashok Dubey had confirmed to ETimes that several crew members who were to start work on ‘Ram Setu’ had tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Ashok Dubey had stated, “‘Ram Setu’ has been taking full precautions. It is really unfortunate that 45 people from our Junior Artistes Association have tested positive. They have been quarantined.”
